Provisional membership is granted as the first step towards full membership (Accredited Member), which is achieved through accreditation against the Code of Practice.

Associate membership is recommended for all individuals and professional or trade firms servicing the industry who are not operating a village in their own right.

With the vast number of retirement villages currently in the market place, potential residents have considerable choice. By becoming a member of the Retirement Villages Association, a retirement village is immediately set apart from non-member villages as a quality operator able to gain additional credibility and trust-worthiness in the market place. Membership of the RVA means a village has a quality brand associated with it.
Membership of the RVA means a village has a quality brand associated with it. As an operator / manager you will enjoy a higher profile with bankers, valuers, financial advisers, Government agencies and the public. This point of difference is openly promoted to the market through an association Code of Practice which is externally monitored through an accreditation process that supports the RVA brand.
Villages that achieve accreditation become full members of the RVA, with voting rights.
The RVA office is in Wellington ensuring easy access to Government officials, the Retirement Commissioner, and important stakeholders.
